Today it’s Willie Wednesday. The First Folio.
We’ll kick this series off with a picture of the biggest Willie in English literature: Willie Shakespeare.
As you can see, Willies had more hair back in the bard’s days, compared with your average postmodern Willie of today like Willie Self, shortlisted in the Booker last year with his novel, Umbrella.
The contrast is quite startling, I’m sure you’ll agree, but always fascinating nonetheless.
In the meantime, read Umbrella.
See you next time on Wille Wednesday!
The post that gives you the Willies!
If you dare.
